Thailand introduced a new digital nomad visa called Destination Thailand in July 2024. This new visa is Thailand's attempt to draw in more foreign visitors by making it easier to stay for a longer period.

Some key details:

• The Destination Thailand visa is valid for 5 years
• It's a multiple entry visa, which each stay allowing up to 180 days
• Per entry, you can extend it for another 180 days, so you could stay for a full year per entry

Requirements:

• Be at least 20 years old
• Show financial evidence of at least THB 500, 000 (US$ 14,000)
• Provide proof of employment

Given the relatively low requirements, and the long validity of this visa, this is an amazing opportunity for any digital nomad or remote worker who's looking to spend more time in Asia.
