Argentina Digital Nomad Visa
Argentina Digital Nomad Visa
Argentina launched its Digital Nomad Visa on May 21st, 2022. This visa is a type of permit that allows foreigners to work remotely (either for themselves or for a foreign company outside of Argentina) while experiencing the Argentine culture and beauty. It’s a perfect fit for those who want to change their daily routine without leaving their jobs.
Please note that the digital nomad visa does not allow anyone to work for an Argentine work establishment, company, or business. If you have found a job opportunity with an Argentine employer, you must acquire an Argentinian work visa and a work permit instead.

The general requirements for the Argentina Digital Nomad Visa are as follows:
- Valid Travel Document: Your passport must be valid for at least six months past your planned stay.

Taxes
As a digital nomad in Argentina, you are not obligated to pay local taxes on your foreign income. However, one tax that digital nomads living in Argentina will have to pay is the value-added tax — i.e. the sales tax placed on most goods and services — referred to locally as the Impuesto al Valor Agregado, or IVA. The standard IVA rate is 21%.
