Requirements

Application Process
The application process for the Digital Nomad Visa in Japan is conducted online and involves the following steps:

Taxes
As a holder of the Digital Nomad Visa in Japan, you will not be considered a tax resident in Japan. To be considered a Japanese tax resident, you must live in the country for one year or more. Since the Digital Nomad Visa allows you to stay in Japan for up to six months, you won’t meet the residency requirement for tax purposes.
