Application process

The application process for the independent contractor visa in Norway is as follows12:

  1. Gather Documents: Before you begin the application process, it’s important to get all of your documents in order. You’ll need the following:

    • Address of Accommodations in Norway
    • Contract with Norwegian Client
    • Documentation of Business Established Abroad

  2. Print the UDI Checklist: One of the requirements is the UDI checklist which must be printed and signed.
  3. Submit the Application: There are two ways to submit your application for the Norway digital nomad visa. You can apply online through Norway’s Directorate of Immigration (UDI) website, where you have to submit digital copies of the required documents, and you will receive a decision electronically. Alternatively, you can apply in person at a Norwegian embassy or consulate.
  4. Wait for Approval: After submitting your application, you will need to wait for the approval.
